{"id":2276,"date":"2016-05-02T15:33:09","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T20:33:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/2016.stlouis.wordcamp.org\/?p=2276"},"modified":"2016-05-02T21:19:38","modified_gmt":"2016-05-03T02:19:38","slug":"dev-panel-meet-your-panelists","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/stlouis.wordcamp.org\/2016\/dev-panel-meet-your-panelists\/","title":{"rendered":"Dev panel: Meet your panelists!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Where in St. Louis can you find\u00a0a bunch of WordPress core committers in one room and ask them anything you want?<\/p>\n<p>Usually, nowhere.<\/p>\n<p>But Saturday, right after lunch, you&#8217;ll have exactly that experience in our Dev Panel.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled for the big auditorium for now, it&#8217;s a chance to find out almost anything you want to know about code, Core and\u00a0why things work the way they do.<\/p>\n<p>Really!<\/p>\n<p>A few\u00a0highlights of the panel include:<\/p>\n<h2>Michele Butcher<\/h2>\n<p>Michele is an active member of the WordPress community with\u00a0a\u00a0broad range of experience\u00a0including\u00a0web site\u00a0security, user support, site maintenance, and hosting.<\/p>\n<p>She&#8217;s also a natural instructor, having\u00a0been a featured speaker at <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.tv\/?s=Michele+Butcher\">several WordCamps<\/a>. Find her at her website,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/cantspeakgeek.com\/\">cantspeakgeek.com<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/@Michele_Butcher\">on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Mike\u00a0Schroder<\/h2>\n<p>Known as Shredder to many, Mike Schroder is a cross-cultural kid, coffee-drinking sailor, and lover of Open Source.<\/p>\n<p>By day he&#8217;s\u00a0a\u00a0WordPress platform lead\u00a0at DreamHost; by night, and sometimes by day,\u00a0he\u2019s a Core Committer.
