Whatever your tips, tricks or techniques, we\u2019d like to learn them. And why you prefer them to other techniques, methods or whatever. Why do you think something is a best practice? Why should it be?<\/span><\/p>\n

In return, you\u2019ll get the undying gratitude of the STL WordPress community; your talk on WordPress.tv (maybe); some awesome culinary concoctions\u00a0at the Speakers\u2019 dinner and all the smooth Kaldi\u2019s coffee you can drink on site.<\/span><\/p>\n

Your talk should educate or enlighten the community, or both, way more than it promotes your products or company.<\/p>\n

It should also embody the values of WordPress.<\/h5>\n

That means:<\/p>\n

We are inclusive and welcoming, and positive.<\/strong> Recommend one solution over another? Perfectly fine. Just frame your recommendations as, “I’ve found that with X I\u00a0could do this\u00a0faster, make it prettier, whatever … Y\u00a0had\/has these limitations … (not Y was bad or wrong.)<\/p>\n

And we do have a code of conduct. In short: Be kind.<\/p>\n

We are all about the GPL.<\/strong> We probably all use tools that aren’t GPL. (Photoshop, for instance.) When we speak at WordCamps, the themes and plugins we recommend from the stage need to\u00a0explicitly embrace the GPL.\u00a0Questions? Ask!<\/p>\n
